Once again, referrals and recommendations are at the backbone of so many things we have in our lives, I have some great apps for my iphone thanks to other people telling me "hey, I have the greatest app, you have to use it". Or from me saying, I wish I had the ability to do such-and-such, and then someone says "omg, let me tell you what I know".
I hope that I have done such a fine job in my service to my clients and friends that I am one of those things you happily share with your friends :)
So, for all you iphone users out there, my latest fav apps are:
- Calorie Counter and Diet Tracker by CalorieCount.com - this handy app will allow you to log the foods you eat by voice OR by scanning the barcode of the product (SO COOL!!!). And for each food, there's a "nutrition grade" as well as pros and cons. Plus, the app is cost-free. Weeee!
- Get Running - New to the world of running, but wanna give it a shot? Let this app guide you through it. The program eases you into running, letting you go at your own pace and prompting you when to warm up, walk, run, and cool down -- you can even listen to music on your device at the same time! The only thing you have to do is, well, the running.
- GoodFoodNearYou - In need of food, fast? You don't have to cave to the first fast food joint you see! This food-seeking program will find sensible dining options near you, wherever you are -- it even scans hit-or-miss menus to help you find the best picks. SWEET! and the big Bonus?--- it's FREE!
- Facebook has a new messenger app that allows you go get your FB messages without having to go into your facebook profile, it is much like your texting window, keeps convo's linked together, and you can message your FB friends back and forth just like texting, pretty cool!
- Angry Birds - yes the horribly addicting game - (if you are in a suuport group, look away now-hehe) has some new versions out, Angry Birds Rio, and Angry Birds Seasons. I have been playing them the last couple weeks, too much fun!
- Monopoly - yes, I hear ya, I thought the same thing, why would you want to play monopoly on the iphone/pad?" well, let me tell ya it is kinda fun. We can all sit and play as a family, it moves much faster than the board game, and has fun options on selling and auctioning your properties, the money is automatically added and deducted as the game calls for, and you can set your difficulty level as well, so if you are playing with youngsters, you can make it a little easier.
- Battleship - I know, lots of games this time - my son recently got his own itouch, and so we have been looking for games we can all play together. I really like playing battleship, much like monopoly, it cuts your game time to a place where you can play a few games with your kids and not feel like you are spending way to much time on the devices. Pretty cool effects too.
- Instagram - this is a great little photo app with fun effects and great options to share your photos on Facebook, email, etc.
