    Crazy stuff!!

My hubby is an internet explorer, and no I don't mean the browser, I mean he literally looks all over the internet, he does not have certian pages he stays with every day, he searches and digs and clicks and learns all kinds of things, he ran across this blog post recently and sent it my way, quite interesting.....
    (originally posted at http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/27/canon-eos-1000d-washes-ashore-sd-card-reveals-it-was-lost-at-se/)

What you're looking at was once a fully functional Canon EOS 1000D, now merely a relic of the sea (the Pacific Ocean, to be exact), which was recently posted on Google+. User Marcus Thompson, found the DSLR washed up near a wharf while on a diving job in Deep Bay British Columbia, Canada and decided to take it home to find out what could be salvaged. After removing and cleaning the SanDisk Extreme III SD card inside of it, he was successfully able to recover about 50 photos with EXIF data from August 2010, showcasing what's described to be a firefighter and his family on vacation. While he hasn't located the owner of the shooter turned coffee table decoration just yet, Marcus is currently asking the "Google+ hive mind" to help get the two reunited. If you're from BC area and want to help out -- or just curious to see this DSLR from more angles -- you'll find some pictures from the SD card and more information about the camera at the source link below.

Update : The original Google+ post was updated, noting that the owner of the camera has indeed been identified!

    Weekly mini devotional

Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed."

We are called by God to not only hear His Word but then to put it into practice - to do something about it through setting goals.

We are now several weeks into the new year of 2012, and so many make resolutions for the new year, and many more fail. How are yours working out for you? Good I hope.
One thing about resolutions, or goals in general is to set ATTAINABLE goals.

Many people set a goal to lose weight and they go to extremes, I am going to lose 30 pounds by valentines day, or I am going to work out every day for an hour and they have never worked out before. In goals like this we set ourselves up to fail.

Perhaps it is better to set goals we can accomplish and then modify them as we reach them. Like I am going to lose 5 pounds by valentines day, or I am going to work out 20 minutes 5 days a week.
Things we can do, we can accomplish. things that are ATTAINABLE.
Many of us set unreachable goals knowing there is nothing we can do to reach them and then we fail and excuse it by the same account that it was unrealistic.

Reaching a goal requires action, not just to authenticate what you should or already do,(like being a good parent) or justify something you want to do.

God created us to mature, to grow and change, not to stand on the sidelines of life.

So if your new year's resolutions are not working for you, set some new goals, be real and set some you know you can reach, and when you get there, look back, feel good about your progress and set a new one!

The Good Stuff - Featured Testimonials

Nearly everytime I post a featured session on the blog, a preview through a slideshow, or a sneak peak on facebook, or an online gallery for clients to order and share with their families, I will get some amazing feedback from them. Sometimes it is long, sometimes it is short and sometimes it is a real tear-jerker. Regardless, I always love hearing that I have made my clients happy and touched them somehow with my work.
Here are a few words from a great client, and also a FABLOUSE masseuse(she is so awesome and so smart and can relax you, fix what is sore, make a cramp go way and work out a sinus headache like no one I know!)
Anyway, I photograph her adorable little boys, and this is what she had to say after picked up her order from her last session......
      "Hey Tonya,
I wanted to get back with you to let you know that everything was just PERFECT!!!! I loved it all. Thank you so much!"
